Following her DayBreak Appearance, the luncheon, silent auction and “Honey Bug” Fashion Show took place April 29th at Jungle Island’s Treetop Ballroom. SF Fishing Report

SF Fishing Report

Captain Rich Smith has been seeing bones and permit all over Biscayne Bay of late. Large schools of permit are showing up inside Midnight Pass and on the snake leading into Caesar’s Creek. Cutter Bank has been the most consistent for bonefish. Fishermen staked off at Curtis Point reported seeing a few schools of tarpon heading south, but the fish were apparently not in an eating mood. Rich and his clients also had some fun the other day with lemon and blacktip sharks in the 5-9 foot range.

Either way, we have you covered with some of the best spots on the beach.

Cinco de MiMo

The Vagabond Motel

Piggybacking off Cinco de Mayo, the Miami Modern architecture movement is launching Cinco de MiMo, a two-day festival celebrating the MiMo movement. Festivities kick off Friday night with a Frieda Kahlo look-alike contest, piñata cracking, snacks, cocktails and more at the Upper Eastside Gardens.

SF Fishing Report

Fish
While recent NE and E winds have made visibility difficult in Biscayne Bay, some bonefish and permit are still being caught. Captain Rich Smith has been spotting tarpon traveling north and south on the outside of Elliot Key. They've been looking for big schools of mullet to feed on.
