The topography of the Miami skyline will soon be forever changed with the massive addition of two of the tallest buildings in the world. The Empire World Twin Towers will reach heights of 1020 feet in the air. At 93 stories, the towers will rise high across the Bayside marketplace and were the subject of a city commission meeting this week. The project, which will not be completed till 2010, is slated to be a residential condo. Still, it has a long way to go before they can break ground. Among some of the hurdles they face are Federal Aviation Authorities studies that will determine the impact the buildings will have on air traffic.
