In the Headlines

BASE Gift Ideas
Well, Magic City, you’ve done it again. You’re all over the news. Now everyone knows. We are officially the envy of lesser cities across the country. Oh, yes; It’s nice when Miami makes the headlines for something other than political corruption or violent crimes. It’s even better when those positive headlines are in the New York Times. Such was the case when the Times selected yet another Miami destination, BASE and the BASE annex, for a feature in their travel section. It’s a lengthy piece that profiles the shop’s owner and a must read for any self-respecting local. Still, the shops on Lincoln Road are just the latest example of how much the Gray Lady loves Miami. Recently, Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink was also chosen by the paper as one of the top ten eateries in the country. Oh, and they aren’t the only ones getting some ink. The Morgans Hotel Group made the papers recently with its sale of a $5 million condo at the Mondrian. Oh, it’s nice to be loved.

Get Your Costume On

Halloween is officially one week away. That means lots of party planning, candy corn gorging and costume hunting.
