It’s time for another oh-so-tasty progressive dinner in Miami. This time, we’re hitting up Miracle Mile in Coral Gables for a little Italian, a little seafood, a little fruity goodness and of course, a little nightcap. Hope you’re hungry!
Begin the evening with rich gnocchi alla vodka
with asiago cheese. Homemade gnocchi are crafted from potato and
ricotta cheese, topped with vodka pink sauce and baked with asiago
cheese until golden brown.
Indulge: City Cellar, 45 Miracle Mile; 786-497-5450.
Now that you’ve whet your appetite, go for a healthy taste of the islands: pan sautéed Bahamian grouper.
Bahamian grouper is marinated in a garlic-orange sauce, infused with
Bacardi Limon, topped with carrots and served with boniato (a white,
sweet potato) mashed potatoes.
Indulge: Ortanique on the Mile, 278 Miracle Mile; 305-446-7710.
Head from the islands to Europe for an indulgent French tarte tatin. Apples are baked, piled on a shortcrust pastry, topped with caramelized sugar and served warm with vanilla ice cream.
Indulge: Le Provencal, 382 Miracle Mile; 305-448-8984.
The Irish know how to end a night…with a hearty glass of whiskey. Old Bushmill’s has been distilling Irish Whiskey since the 1700s - we’d say they know how to make some good brew.
Indulge: John Martin’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, 253 Miracle Mile; 305-445-3777.
