Being the person other people call to find out where all the cool kids
are hanging out is taxing, sometimes physically exhausting work. Rest
assured, we totally understand the demands that come with being
in-the-know. And remember, in Miami, the where is nowhere near as
important as the when. To that end, here's our night-by-night guide to South Beach nightlife.

Monday

Monday nights it depends on what you’re looking for. If you and your
significant other are looking for a couple’s night out, check out the aphrodisiac ambiance of Tantra. Everything at this long-running party has
been specifically designed to invoke that sexual healing. It’s a bit
pricey, but hopefully worth it (wink, wink). If you’re just looking to
get your thug on, head to B.E.D.’s Secret Society party. This hip-hop bash is synonymous with beats, booty and booze.

Tantra: 1445 Pennsylvania Ave, Miami Beach; 305-672-4765; tantrarestaurant.com.

Tuesday

On Tuesday night, you'd be remiss if you passed on the sophisticated trendsetter-stocked soiree at The Delano Hotel presented by TAI Entertainment. With the happy addition of Lenny Kravitz’s newest venture, The Florida Room,
this hotel bash is the place to be. The festivities start around 10 pm
and go on till about 2 am - that’s when most of the party people make
their way to the Favela Chic bash at Mokai and keep it’ bumpin’ till 5 in the morning.
The Delano Hotel: 1685 Collins Ave, Miami Beach; 305-672-2000; delano-hotel.com.
Mokai: 235 23rd St; Miami Beach, 305-438-9200; mokaimiami.com.

Wednesday

South Beach nightlife is traditionally slow mid-week. That being
said, there are at least two locations that have pretty decent
get-togethers. The Champagne Kid, aka Pico, promotes a swankly little dinner part at Ocean Drive's Table 8. The Forge's dinner party is another option for an older, more sophisticated clientele. It's also always a hotbed of celebrity activity - don’t be surprised if you bump into a paparazzi or two.
Table 8: 1458 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach; 305-695-4114; table8.com.
The Forge: 432 W 41st St, Miami Beach; 305-538-8533; theforge.com.

Thursday

Locals like to refer to Thursday as the beginning
of the weekend. The Empire Events crew throws a wicked Rotten Apple bash at Set nightclub. The party features two rooms. Downstairs plays an open format line-up while upstairs rocks with LA
transplant DJ Ryan Evans.

Set:
320 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach; 305-531-2800; setmiami.com.

Friday

Oh, beware the bridge-jumpers! This day marks the invasion of the rest of Miami. Expect long
lines and lots of spilled drinks everywhere. There is of
course, plenty to do, but the true South Beach-ers take it easy at lesser-known, more relaxed environments. For that
type of lounging, there's no better place than Buck 15, which is open until 5 a.m. and features a rock and roll jam session.
Buck 15: 707 Lincoln Lane, Miami Beach; 305-534-5488; buck15.com.

Saturday

It’s almost a requisite that you brave
the crowds and venture past the velvet ropes to this megalith of a club. We suggest Vice, the scond-floor VIP area of Cameo where all the beautiful people
get down and dirty all hours of the night. It’s usually best to
hang out until it starts getting
ridiculously packed, then head to Prive.
Slip past Hugo the doorman and kick it here till no later than 3 am. Stay any later and you’ll miss out on The Room. Just a block away from Prive, this little hole-in-the-wall serves beer and wine, a New
York feel and neighborhood camaraderie.
Cameo/Vice: 1445 Washington Ave, Miami Beach; (305) 531-5027; cameomiami.com.
Prive: (305) 531-5535 136 Collins Ave; theopiumgroup.com.
The Room: 100 Collins Ave, Miami Beach; 305-531-6061.

Sunday: T
hose who hate to see the weekend end regulalry head to Nikki Beach.
This place kicks with the hottest bodies on the Beach, a beachside party and sounds provided by
DJ Chris Falero. Sip mojitos from brunch to five in
the morning on Monday then go straight to work.
Nikki Beach: 1 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach 305-538-1111; Nikki.com.
