Best Brunch Spots on the Beach

Brunch

Brunch, that magical time between breakfast and lunch. It’s one of our favorite Sunday rituals. Is it the fusion of breakfast/lunch fare, the social interaction with your dear companions, or the excuse to indulge in champagne before noon? Either way, we have you covered with some of the best spots on the beach.

Take things alfresco at Nemo’s, which is regarded by many to be the best brunch in Miami. It’s served buffet-style ($34 includes everything) and it’s offerings are everything from traditional to decadent (duck confit with your waffles anyone?). Our only complaint here is the you can’t get items á la carte, hitting the buffet is your only option.

Brunch at the Ritz Sobe, served from 12 – 3 p.m., the champagne flows as nicely as the live jazz music playing in the background. You can’t go wrong with any of the items on the menu, which is all traditionally inspired American cuisine.

It may be hard to stomach the thought of sushi first thing in the morning, but Sushi Samba has devised a special Sunday morning sushi menu. While you could go á la cart, we recommend the Family Style Brunch ($15 per guest, you select four dishes served family style). While you’re there, break out the traditional Mimosa mold and try the Pika Pika, it’s sparkling sake and guava juice (and the best before noon cocktail we have ever had).

Brunch at this iconic Lincoln Road eatery never disappoints. The people watching (as it always is on Lincoln Road) is priceless. Not overly priced (or overly indulgent) you can expect a great, solid experience at Van Dyke Café. Perfect to take the entire family. Oh, and don’t miss out on the Bloody Mary’s.

Hi, I would like to add a comment in regards to Van Dyke cafe. 2 weeks ago I went with a friend and had a prosciutto sandwich and a glass of wine. The sandwich was terrible, loaded so much with prosciutto you couldn't even bite through it; it was actually desgusting. I asked for a glass of wine and they served me a wine that had been opened for quite a while and the glass they serve them in. c'mon!! they're so cheap. My friend had a caprese salad and it wasn't great either, I mean the presentation and the quality of the food. The decor is nice and it's in a nice area, but the food and the drinks are terrible. I am a local and I would not recommend this place to anyone

Agreed, 10 years ago the restaurant was properly managed, food was good, Jazz was great but I guess Mr. Soyka is foucusing on his restaurant Soyka on Biscayne Blvd and just let this place get by... It's just poor management, hopefully the lad from Segafredo's could turn it around... I'd rathered eat at Pashas's, better food and cheaper prices.... Regards, Joe
