Miami's got fashion chops, and though we locals know that, sometimes
it's nice to see Miami mavens show New Yorkers what it's all about.
Fashion designer and rising star Karelle Levy rocked the House of Diel
Style Wars when it took place in Miami back in November. She once again
took home the fashion gold this past weekend winning the Style Wars
championship in New York.
From the New York Times: Working to the theme of "Wed or Dead," Ms. Levy used sheets of
X-ray film as a top, strategically placed cotton pads on the model's
hair bun and high heels, and turned surgical gloves into a large
flowerlike shoulder applique in what proved to be an innovative use of
medical supplies.
