The countdown is on for Art Basel Miami Beach. Procrastinators beware - hotel rooms are a hot commodity in Miami. Most everything on the Beach is sold out - even the hostels (seriously). We made lots of front desk calls and found two consistent themes: be prepared to pony up for a minimum of four or five nights and venture off the Beach for maximum success (think North Beach, Sunny Isles, Aventura and Downtown).
