There is nothing like the holidays in Miami. While most of the country is under a deep freeze, we've got the beautiful sun and fun capital of the world at our fingertips. We encourage you to enjoy all it has to offer. Don’t miss our online
calendar for a complete rundown of events.
Thursday
Start off the weekend with burgers and fries and at the opening of
Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries at the Shoppes in Midtown Miami. After dinner, catch the
Heat game against the Washington Wizards. From there, it’s over to
Biltmore Unplugged for some light poolside jazz.
Friday
You may have to take the rest of the afternoon off after
Wine Friday's Lunch at the
Mandarin (hint: bottomless wine pours). That night, Espanola Way is the place to be with
Kirtan from Bhagavan Das happening at
Synergy and the screening of
Vinyl, a rare Andy Warhol film at
Miami Beach Cinematheque.
Saturday
The holidays are officially upon us, so why not check out the
Nutcracker playing at the
Carnival Center? For the privileged, you can attend the invitation only
brunch happening at
La Gorce Country Club before the show.
Art Basel may be gone, but the art remains at
The Wynwood Sculpture Park if you happened to miss out.
Sunday
Sunday = fun day at
Bayfront Park. Options include a
Flying Trapeze School, the
Miami Skylift that raises you more than 500 feet above the bay, a playground and plenty of open space. Pack a lunch and enjoy a relaxing Sunday, you deserve it.
