Best Burger (Seriously)

On the search for that perfect burger? Well, just a short drive away from Miami Beach, lies a small burger joint with a national reputation for it's patty and buns. Take a trip there with Plum's Jonathan Vigliotti and find out why 'Le Tub' is a Floridian gem.

I feel that Le Tub is not as

I feel that Le Tub is not as quite
as good as most people think......
The bartender is grumpy and inconsiderate.......
I had an experience were I asked for an Iced tea
and he said he don't know what drink that was.
The burgers are huge ......but not the best i have ever
had.......The secret is that its Top sirloin beef......well
for $2.00 you can get the same at Publix and cook it yourself.
Horrible service and hot enviroment.......no A/C at all.

What a great segment! It

What a great segment! It makes me want to eat that le tub burger!

I love the fact that the

I love the fact that the owner gets carried away with himself. What a great upbeat short, great audio too. I dont know when I'll be looking for a burger in Miami, but if and when I do I'll be back!

Uh, can you say..... Le

Uh, can you say..... Le ROACH!

I finally visited Le Tub after listening to all the hype.. We sat outside, kind of cool ambience once you get over the dive bar facade. Don't expect bells and whistles at this place. You have to get your own water which is in a classic orange Gatorade cooler in the middle of the dining area outside. The menus are poorly handwritten and copied on a standard copier. The waiters are unpleasant and not really willing to be helpful.

So here's the kicker...

When we got a burgers (which look delicious) everything was going fine. Burgers were really good. By the way, try not to do any substitutions, just order it the way they dish it.
So as I'm going to take my 3rd bite I notice something moving on my shirt. When I focused in on it I realized it was a HUGE ROACH!!!!!!! As you can probably image, I caused a scene worthy of an Oscar award. I jumped on top of the table and screamed so loud that I think God heard me in heaven. I looked down at the floor in the restaurant and there was a colony of roaches scattering in every direction! That's when I really lost it. The crazy part is that no one from the staff gave a crap! They just kept on doing whatever it was that they were doing. They didn't miss a beat. It was almost like this was a normal thing for them. The funny thing is that I was completely grossed out and will never go there again but I will say one thing... THAT WAS GOOD BURGER!

So here's my advice if you must have a Le Tub burger. ORDER IT TO GO AND WAIT IN THE CAR!

Enjoy!

I lived in Ft. Lauderdale

I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for a few years and had heard about Le Tub while standing in line at a grocery store. I always like finding good "dive" food. Heard tey had some of the best burgers around.
Well, I am a burger junkie, and what Le Tub had to offer was far from the best, food and service. I don't mind waiting a long time for my food, but wait staff and bartenders should not act like customers are botherig them when asked for another drink, especially when the food you're waiting for is sub-par at best. Bigger isn't always better!
A few weeks later, I ran into that person who recommended Le Tub. I thanked him for letting me know about the place, and that I'd make sure to let everyone know that if they want bad service and sub-standard food to go there.
The place for a good burger in that area is The Ugly Tuna in Riverfront, Ft. Lauderdale. Sit at the bar. Waaaaaay better experience.

Sorry that people have had

Sorry that people have had such a bad time at Le Tub, I have been going there for years. The bartenders and the wait staff our always usually to busy to be chatty. The problem with bugs, well yeah the place is outside people. I love the place the food is good and well worth it. I recommend this place to one and all. Great seating.
