Where do you draw the line between art and life?
Miami collectors Debra and Dennis Scholl have seemingly erased their line. Each year, the couple invites an important contemporary art curator to hang their house. They literally strip the walls, turn over the keys and step aside. Each project inevitably translates into its own vision, creates varying reactions and produces a few challenges (favorite pieces stay in storage, new objects create evening obstacles). Nothing is off limits.
This year, Manhattan curator Matthew Higgs, of the White Columns Gallery, and British artist Jeremy Deller performed the honors. Step inside the project from start to finish and watch the line between life and art blur.
